As the team bus pulled into Nanstallon reality took hold as the task ahead looked daunting. Losing their first in the last minute to Nanstallon left them a difficult task. There followed a 0-0 draw against league and cup winners Parkway.
Then came the fight back of the competition, 2-0 down with three minutes remaining as Thistles hit back to earn a draw against Plymouth Youth.
Thistles were into the knock out stage and were rampant as they brushed aside Plymouth FC 2-0.
The semi-final beckoned but too soon as Thistles were defeated 3-0 by DJM league champions and cup winners Parkway, who went on to win the final.
Forty-eight teams took part and Thistles did Tavistock proud by reaching the final four.
