Okehampton v Feniton
THIS was Okehampton's second defeat of the new season.
They travel to Feniton on Saturday in the Devon League division.
They were beaten by a team who scored 401 runs in their match last week. Okehampton won the toss and decided to bat first but when the top half of the batting found life difficult on a slow pitch against tight bowling, the writing was on the wall for Okehampton on 26-6.
But a belligerent 34 not out from P Alford ably assisted in partnership with M Furniss and A Mortimore saw Okehampton agonisingly short, bowled out for 86 runs.
Feniton's batsmen found difficulty in scoring due to Okehampton's bowlers of A Mortimore, P Harris, M Furniss and P Alford.
Okehampton did drop a couple of catches. But the fielding was first class.
But A Pullin with 35 runs and R Fever on 15 not out saw Feniton home by four wickets.
This Saturday Okehampton are away to Whitchurch.
