THE Ramona classes for equine pensioners were brought a little added 'spice', thanks to one of the class winners.

The class for horses 14.2 hands and over was won by Connie Smith from Monkokehampton, riding 22 year-old Bohemian Spice.

As an eventing horse, Bohemian Spice once got tangled in a jump fence. To free her, organisers had to use chainsaws. Rather than spooking the mare, she was unphased and completed the course in the alloted time. She showed that composure again at the show to claim first place in her class.

Rider Connie Smith said: 'It is brilliant, I am so happy to have won here today. Bohemian Spice is a great horse.'
