COUNCILLORS at Torridge District Council have voted for a zero increase for themselves in their annual allowances.

Members on the council currently receive a basic allowance of £4,568.64 per annum with the chair of each committee receiving an extra special responsibility allowance amount. Philip Collins, Leader of the council, gets an extra £10,758.24.

These amounts will not change for at least another year.
