TAVISTOCK Table Tennis teams lead the Okehampton and District Table Tennis Leagues. Tavistock A is top of the first division by 10 points and Tavistock B is top of the second division by 20 points. Fred Phillips, captain of the first team, is hoping to have a third team next season. So if anyone is interested in playing could they contact him on 01822 617319. Fred, who is also chairman of the Okehampton Table Tennis Club, would like to see some new members at the club. It is a very friendly club with many facilities. There are nine tables in constant use, also an electronic practice table. The hall also accommodates badminton, short mat bowling and use of a trampoline. There is a large society room with kitchen area. It is disabled-friendly and has disabled toilets.
