TAVY continued their recent excellent form without star players Simon Pocknell and James Coole to outplay their opponents and add crucial points to their mounting total in the league.

Ben Stephens who has blossomed in his switch to a midfield role opened the account once more and Tavy in all were good for their lead. However next to come was the first of two setbacks. As North Hill pressed for the equaliser Tavy captain Johns saw his defensive header nestle inside the near post past the outstretched hand of his keeper.

The dismay of surrendering the lead was soon turned around when Matt Salisbury put them 2-1 up just before the break. Salisbury made it 3-1 and then completed his hat- trick with Dan Brockington putting his mark on the game in between .

Andy Pedrick eased Johns' grief when he netted in his own goal with a header of his own to bring it to 5.2. Several chances then went begging with the already mentioned scorers missing enough chances to turn it into a cricket score but eventually Brockington refound his touch to complete the rout claiming his hat- trick with two late strikes.
