Devon and Exeter senior three South Zeal Utd 1 Kentisbeare 1 THE visitors started well and deservedly took the lead after just 10 minutes with a well taken individual goal. Zeal, as in the previous week, struggled to put pressure on the visitors? defence and apart from a few half chances it was left for the defence well marshalled by Tom Reilly to hold out at just 1-0 down at half time. Manager Reg Wonnacott again got Zeal going in the second half and the game turned from being a one sided stroll for Kentisbeare to an enthralling match that either side could win. Steve Pillivant started to hit some great balls for the Zeal forwards and Lee Gilbert and Garry Smith were having good games at the back for Zeal. As the second half progressed Harley Cann and Darren Gilbert started to give the Kentisbeare defence real problems and the game moved from end to end as both teams created chances. Then 10 minutes from time Jeremy Stephens finished off a good move with a great shot across the face of goal and into the corner of the net to give Zeal a well deserved point. l Next week South Zeal are away to Seaton, kick-off 2-15pm leaving Okehampton at noon.
