RAIN unfortunately interrupted play in this annual match at the Ring at Tavistock Cricket Club for the annual Times Gazette Cup.

Tavistock, captained by Stuart Munday played Tamar Cavaliers, led by Gordon Littlejohns, who were fresh from their 174 run victory over Launceston Old Boys.

Before the downpour it was Tamar Cavaliers, who got off to a bright start and in the 14 overs played they were on 54-1. Opener Ian Searle was bowled by Jonty Newton for 12 with Sam Boundy left on 27 not out, Josh Hockridge 4no and 11 extras.

When the rains came a decision was made to take an early tea but no play was possible afterwards so honours, and Times Gazette Cup, were shared between the sides.
