TWENTY-six street lights are currently being installed along three main footpaths in Tavistock.
The installation of lights along St John's Walk, Benson's Meadow and Pearce's Meadow began on September 1 and is expected to continue until mid to late October, with two flood lights being positioned by the skate park.
Members of the public will still be able to access the walkways but if the path requires closure then adequate signage will be provided.
Tavistock Town Council is working in partnership with West Devon Borough Council on the project, which is paying for the street lighting in St John's Walk.
