Five Mount House rugby teams were in action against St Peter?s Lympstone, with Mount House winning three matches and losing two. The Mount House First XV put in another outstanding performance to win their away fixture by 61-5. The Mount House backs were far more effective with the ball than their opponents. Centres Rhys Davies and Michael Cousens constantly found holes in the defence, and helped themselves to two first half tries each, with James Mann adding a fifth and Rhys Davies converting all five for a 35-0 interval lead. The second half saw the pattern repeated with Rhys Davies scoring twice under the posts, and Alex Zervudachi adding two more ? Rhys Davies converted three of them. The Second XV match was evenly contested in the first half, with Mount House scoring one try through Tom Sylvester for a 5-0 half time lead. In the second half good interplay between forwards and backs saw William Wells score the second try, and Jacca Deeble-Stone the third, picking up from the scrum and running in unopposed from the 22m line. St Peter?s pulled one try back, but William Wells put the result beyond doubt with a poacher?s try that Henry Barlow converted for a final score of 22-5. Colts A lost 12-26 to St Peter?s while Colts B won 19-10 and Colts C went down 7-31.
