Tavistock Thistles U12s 3 St Cleer 6 IN the first half, Thistles were outplayed by a physically strong St Cleer side. Dylan Peel, St Cleer?s number nine, used his superior height and weight to brush Thistles aside and help create a 3-0 lead by half-time. In the second half, Thistles were soon 4-0 down. However, Jack Gerrish pulled a goal back with a crafty toe poke that sneaked in by the post. Minutes later he stormed forward to smack a left-footed shot that went in off the bar. Corey Hancock?s delicate lob reduced the lead to 4-3. St Cleer grabbed another well taken goal by Peel, who had hit the bar minutes earlier with a tremendous shot from the halfway line. Will Lane and Nathan Holland were again magnificent in defence, but St Cleer scored another goal before the final whistle. Man of the Match: Nathan Holland.
