THERE has quite rightly been a spate of letters recently in connection with the problem of dogs fouling and inconsiderate owners not cleaning up afterwards. However, not only do dog owners need to be educated, but the general public need to be.

With the onset of the recent good weather which heralds spring, I have seen an increase of litter in the park as I pass through it on my way to work in the mornings.

This letter is unnecessary and avoidable, as there are ample waste bins around the park. Also as a last resort litter can always be taken home and disposed of.

This is important as we approach the tourist season, as Tavistock is a beautiful town, and one in which I take pride. Let?s put Tavistock first.
