A VIBRANT theatre company for adults with learning disabilities was in action at last weekend's Exeter Respect Festival.

The Get Changed Theatre Company performed a short abridged scene from its upcoming 'Get to the Future' show on the community stage at the festival.

The audience was taken on a short action-packed journey to visit the past, travelling with Doc Brown and Doc Pink to the 1950s.

This year the members of Get Changed have been involved in creating some of their own props with the help of Creative Touchstones, an initiative providing art and music in the community.

The team has worked with the members to build a set of three 50s cars to use in the show.

Following the success of its stage adaptations on Flash Gordon and Star Wars, Get Changed will perform at the Exeter Barnfield Theatre for the first time, with 'Get to the Future', a playful adaptation of Back to the Future, which promises laughs, music and surprises.

The shows in Exeter take place on June 28 and June 29.

Tickets can be purchased online via the Exeter Barnfield website http://www.barnfieldtheatre.org.uk">www.barnfieldtheatre.org.uk costing £7 and £4 for concessions.

Get Changed Theatre Company is a registered charity run by a board of volunteers. Much of its funding is reliant on donations and grants.
