I WAS amazed to read your article (February 11) headed 'Men with a Mission' reporting that John Burnett MP is going to Europe over Objective 2 funding for West Devon and Torridge,
He's too late and he's going in the wrong direction!
In fact, it is the British Government who makes the final decisions over funding for the UK not Europe.
Mr Burnett must think the electors of this constituency are terminally stupid.
To say he is going to Europe over this matter ranks as the worst type of political arrogance.
He knows full well that the real position rests with Labour politicians and not the European Union.
If he continues on this misleading path, I will go on berating him until he understands the correct situation and acts accordingly.
