AN evening of fine food and exquisite wine comes to Tavistock next month with a top chef and master of wines.
Master chef Peter Gorton, from the Horn of Plenty in Gulworthy, and wine expert Charles Steevenson, from the Wine Warehouse in Tavistock, have agreed to host the event which takes place at Tavistock Parish Church Centre on Friday November 12 at 7.30pm.
The evening will see Peter demonstrating how to cook the chosen meal while Charles talks about the wines that will be complementing the finished recipe.
Tickets cost £7.50 and are available from Bookstop. Each ticket includes a complimentary glass of wine and a Horn of Plenty mince-pie with all proceeds going to the local branch of the British Heart Foundation.
Seating is limited so the BHF branch advises supporters to get their tickets early.?
This year the Tavistock branch celebrates its 25th anniversary and the organisers are overwhelmed with the support from local people for attending the many events put on. They also thanked the town?s business community for generously donating raffle prizes to all the events.
