DEVON-based Puppetcraft Theatre is bringing its show, 'The Pied Piper' to Bere Ferrers Village Hall on Tuesday, December 30 at 5.30pm as a lovely treat for the New Year.

Puppetcraft Theatre is a highly acclaimed company across the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe. They travel extensively, giving puppet shows of the highest quality and providing workshops in schools, community centres and theatres.

The Pied Piper is a stunning performance which will appeal to everyone aged between 5-11 and their families and friends. Taken from Robert Browning's poem, the tale is told of a piper who comes to a small town to rid the townspeople of a plague of rats.

Using many types of beautifully-made puppets and with original music and a very clever set, the story is told with immense imagination and a great deal of humour. Doors and windows open to reveal the comical characters of Hamelin in this truly magical show.
