JIVERS gathered together to enjoy a successful '50s and '60s Rock 'n' Roll night at Harrowbarrow Village Hall recently, raising money for charity.

Members of several jive clubs turned out to be entertained by new band the Rockaletts, comprising Patsy King, Teresa Tremain, Jacquie Crow and Adam King, and a musical performance by Yorkie — Patsy, Roy and Adam — completed the evening.

The event raised £100 for Derriford's Children's Cancer Service from the generosity of clients from Libra Hairdressers and Adam's Barber Shop, and Mrs Burch, who knitted and donated prizes for a raffle.
