THE HUNT is on for a real little prince and princess. Okehampton carnival committee is looking for boys and girls to enter their 'prince and princess' competition for 2007. Couples must be between the ages of 4 and 11 on Carnival Day — October 20. A carnival queen is also required — prospective monarchs should be 12 years or over by the carnival. The chosen royalty will have the fun of constructing their own float — the carnival committee is happy to offer advice about this if needed. Parents should also be aware that the royals will be expected to attend other carnivals besides the event in Okehampton. Entries for both competitions should be handed in to Krafty Cards in Red Lion Yard or JC Books in the Arcade by Friday May 18 — please provide the names, ages, addresses and contact telephone numbers for all entrants.
