THOSE fascinated by the ancient art of dowsing will be interested to be pointed in the direction of a walk starting at Brentor on Sunday.
Dowser Charlie Palmer has organised a day out tracking part of the Michael and Mary ley line — which stretches from West Cornwall to East Anglia.
Charlie, who is from Bridestowe and now lives in Exeter, is an experienced walker and dowser, who has been teaching dowsing for more than eight years. He uses metal rods and a wooden pendulum, not just to locate water sources, but foundations of ancient buildings.
The walk will start at Brentor Church car park at 10.45am and lunch will be spent on the Tor before going on to Lydford.
Some previous dowsing experience is required. Charlie also holds beginner days in Okehampton from time to time.
The cost for the ley line trek is £7.50 — for more details call Charlie on 01392 426692.
