WE were two of the many people who were stranded on Thursday February 5 at Sourton Cross due to the snow.
From the Travelodge the Army took us in 4x4 vehicles to Okehampton College. The staff who were there to welcome us were wonderful, with blankets and hot drinks all through the night.
After cooked breakfast and dinner we drove back to Tavistock by 4.30pm on Friday.
We would like to thank the police, army, fire brigade and the college staff for the fantastic way this crisis was handled.
