ON behalf of all those involved with the Tavistock branch of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign I would like to say a big thank you to the people of the Tavistock area for their generosity and support during our collection week June 18-25; flag day in the town on June 25, and Bere Alston coffee morning on May 21. An amazing £1,905.47 was raised.
A special thank you to all those who gave their time to collect for us, and to the farmers' market traders, the Co-op, Tavistock Methodist Church and West Devon Borough Council for their assistance.
The support, research and family care provided by the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is making a great difference to many, many young lives. Thank you.

MAY we, through your paper, thank the large number of people who attended our cream tea recently in atrocious weather, kindly sent donations, and the wonderful group of helpers, who all enabled us to achieve the amazing sum of £1,005.70 for Operation Sunshine (South West).
This will directly help the destitute at established contacts in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Tanzania.
Thank you all for your continuing support for Operation Sunshine.
Pat and Mike McNicol
