Okehampton Ladies 4 Penzance Ladies Seconds 1 Okehampton Ladies hockey team?s skills, fitness and enthusiasm yet again gave them the winning edge. Within the opening minutes of the match Jo Moppett put Okehampton into the lead with a beautiful reverse stick goal from a challenging angle. Penzance were quick to respond and equalised the score. Hannah Whiteley and Rochelle Hillier worked closely together for the home side supported by Debbie Pritchard on the right hand side of the pitch. This well structured team work challenged the opposition all the time and it opened up the centre field for Jo Moppett to Score again. Alex Collins put in a sterling effort having many shots on goal. But it was Jo Drake who increased the lead for the Okehampton team to 3-1. Jo Moppett swiftly directed the ball across the circle and Jo Drake placed it without hesitation into the back of the net. In the final stages of the match Jo Moppett scored again giving Okehampton a 4-1 win. l The Okehampton Ladies play Mannamead Seconds in the league next Saturday in Plymouth.
