THE Tavistock Athletic Club, organisers of the 2005 Tavy 7 Road Race are delighted to learn that the race had entered the top 100 races of 2005 as determined by readers of the number one running magazine in the UK, Runners World. Not only that but it reached the number 28 spot. The organisers believe that by any standard this is a remarkable achievement and is a credit to all those involved with staging the event. Held in November the Tavy 7 Road Race main event had sold out four weeks beforehand, the fun run attracted 200 mainly youngsters. The feedback at the end and for weeks afterwards had been very positive indeed. This popular event had once again established Tavistock Athletic Club as splendid hosts to runners from right across the south west region.
