THE Tavonians Theatre Company will be holding a Shakespeare workshop this month, looking at various ways of working with the great playwright.

The workshop will be run by two Tavonians , Helena Ancil and Kat Savage, both of whom are Shakespeare experts, and is part of the prelude to The Tavonians' spring and summer production 'A Caper through Shakespeare' which is due to be performed in Tavistock and at Buckland Abbey.

Although arranged to help those who would like to be involved in the production, the workshop is open to everyone. It will be in the Guide Hall, on Thursday, October 20 at 7.30pm.

This will be followed on Tuesday, November 1 by a casting meeting for the production, when everyone who is interested in being a part of the production, whether acting, dancing, juggling, writing scripts or playing an instrument can get together to work out what will be done and who will do it. The production will be a collaborative effort. This will again be in the Guide Hall at 7.30pm.

The production of 'A Caper through Shakespeare' will be part of the Royal Shakespeare Company's Open Stages project, which brings together the RSC and selected amateur theatre groups. The Tavonians have been a part of workshops run by the RSC.
