STANNARY Brass Band took to the stage in its annual proms concert at Tavistock Methodist Church on Saturday, October 15.

The church, decorated with Union Jacks of all sizes, resounded to the playing of a variety of pieces as well as old patriotic favourites.

Musical director Peter Jones and all the players enjoyed performing for a lively and appreciative audience. The band welcomed singer Charlotte Olive-Hollett, who sang Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory, and Plymouth Area Police Choir, who helped to make the evening a success.

The band expressed thanks to the Lions Club of Tavistock for serving refreshments and compere Steve Grummitt.
