TAVISTOCK Town Hall attended the final of the coveted South West Wedding Awards on January 19 but did not manage to claim the top prize.

Staff from the town’s historic building were last week delighted to hear they had made the final of the awards for the ‘best town wedding venue’ for excellent service, product quality, value for money and commitment to a wedding.

The winner of the category was Tregenna Castle in St Ives.
