THE RNLI Tavistock branch held a very successful coffee morning at the parish church hall recently to raise funds for the organisation and to increase awareness of all that the service does for those in trouble at sea.

A total of £695 was collected. The town crier, David Turner, announced the proceedings in the town centre and then attended the event accompanied by his wife.

There were various stalls, the main one selling the RNLI souvenirs and Christmas cards.
