A BUDDING ten year old actress from Okehampton had the opportunity to showcase her talents at a special event in ths town.
Jess Bolton took part in a showcase organised by Mikhal Brandstatter, freelance drama facilitator and acting coach, at Fairplace Church, the week before Christmas.
Jess performed three monologues from the plays, 'Whistle Down the Wind' by Hayley Bell; 'A Boston Story by Ronald Gow; and 'Adam Bede' by George Elliot.
Mikhal said: 'Jess's acting ability is outstanding. She is only ten years old and yet she is able to portray a wide range of characters, some more than twice her age!
'She can play any mood or era and often moves her audience to tears.'
Mikhal is very excited about how Jess's talent and maturity has developed and grown in recent months — and she is available and keen to coach other young people in the area.
'We are looking for agents and auditions for Jess now, so anything is possible!' said Mikhal.
