A BRAND new family wildlife watch programme will begin this Sunday at Burrator Reservoir for those keen to explore.

Following on from a successful family wildlife watch event in November, South West Lakes Trust has announced the start of its new programme of family activities.

The events will take place the last Sunday of every month from 10.30am to 12.30pm for £1 per person.

Each month the event will be based around a different theme and will involve a 'hands on' activity, followed by hot chocolate and marshmallows.

This Sunday, South West Lakes Trust will be making bird feeders which people can then take away to use in their gardens.

Participants should bring a yogurt pot, bread crumbs and bacon rind/cheese, and the trust will provide everything else.

Meet in the tool yard across the road from Burrator Lodge at 10.30am.

If you can not make the event this Sunday, the next will be on Sunday, February 23 and Sunday, March 30.

Family Wildlife Watch is suitable for children up to the age of 12 and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Bring a jumper, coat and suitable footwear.

Booking for the events is recommended.
