THERE will be a 1950s atmosphere at a fundraising event being held at Conservative Club, Okehampton, on March 17 from 2pm to 4.30pm.

The event is in aid of the Eve Appeal which funds research into gynaecological cancer. All are invited to come along and enjoy an afternoon tea, home-made cakes, ice-cream gloats and milk shakes — the theme for the tea party is a 1950s tea room.
