A PRODUCTION company is on the hunt for people who want to learn how to make healthier food on a cheaper budget for a new 13-part television series, East Bites West — an episode of which will be filmed in Tavistock.
Chef Wan is a Malaysian super chef in the Far East with his own talk show and tv series. He is coming to the UK on a mission to sort out British eating habits. He says people can and should eat food that costs less money, has less fat and more taste.
The production company Denham Productions, which produces all the Rick Stein series for the BBC, will be filming an episode in Tavistock and wants to find people who would be happy to have Chef Wan take their shopping and cooking habits in hand, who know they need a bit of help in the kitchen but would rather have a laugh than be preached at.
People who have got stuck in a rut buying ready meals, or who love cooking but know they could do with a hand to make their food healthier and save money on their weekly shop, are encouraged to get in contact.
