THIS hockey game opened with the Kelly boys on the attack and Dominic McCarthy and Joshua Bancroft formidable in the midfield.

Tobias Chapman, Oliver MacManus and Tom Richards played an excellent attacking game and Macmanus was always in the correct position at the top of the D.

Deklan van de Laarschot and Peter Cobbledick played well and strong play through the midfield allowed the defence of Robert Wilson, Thomas Bury and James Lewis to push up the pitch and create more attacking set-pieces.

Whenever the ball did come into the Kelly boys' defensive area, Robert Wilson cleared it every time.

George Humble Smith made some crucial saves at the back. Rupert Searle played well and Wilson, Searle, Bury and Humble-Smith were the U12 boys in the team.

Bancroft and McCarthy fed some good balls into the D and Tobias Chapman scored from them.

MacManus made some good crosses which enabled Laarschot to score and Tom Richards had a direct strike at the keeper.

Goalkeeper, Michael Riddiough-Allen had a good game and although never really troubled always kept his eye on the ball and gave good early calls to his team.
