Support raised £2,000 at summer fair

THANK you to everyone who helped at Whitchurch Summer Fair last Friday.

Thanks to Caroline Jennings and her gymnastics display, the community fire brigade who brought a fire engine along. The police and all the parents, staff and children also helped.

It was a very enjoyable evening and we raised over £2,000. I hope everyone who came enjoyed themselves and would like to thank them for their support.

I WOULD like the people of Tavistock to know that at the recent yard sale and coffee morning held at 36 Brook Street an amount of £182 was raised for the work of the Salvation Army in India.

My thanks go to all the helpers and interested friends for this wonderful effort.
