A GROUP of criminals have targeted Waitrose in Okehampton, breaking in to the supermarket and stealing a small amount of tobacco products. The secure building had its doors forced open and the thieves used two large bins to carry the property. The bins were left at the scene. The thieves were unable to break into the main tobacco store and targeted a small storage cupboard. The break in took place between 11.50pm on Wednesday, September 21 and just past midnight on September 22. The police would like to speak with anyone who may have information about the burglary, crime ref no JO/05/834.
