VOICES raised in song rang out in Okehampton throughout the festive period, with a particular highlight being the Christmas Concert at Okehampton College. The event was a sell-out with an audience of more than 500 people entertained by a wide range of music and readings. High points included Aaron Kimber's trombone rendition of J Greenwood's The Acrobat, Jess Squires' and Bob Peters' comical reading Ravioli's Nativity and the performance by 120 year 7 students of the Kaiser Chief's hit song Ruby. Daryl Chapman, college principal, said: 'It is a mammoth undertaking putting on a show like this but the teachers and students involved have pulled it off superbly.' Head of music, Mr Smith, who was equally proud, added: 'The night was a great demonstration of the talent we have at Okehampton College. 'I would like to thank all of those that came to watch the performance as well as all the students for all their hard work.'
