DOZENS of children took part in the Tavistock and areas inter-schools swimming gala organised by Tavistock Swimming Club, Meadowlands and West Devon Borough Council.
Held at Meadowlands Leisure pool, nine primary schools from the area took part.
The most sporting team with the best team spirit on the day was Lady Modiford School who won the fair play award.
Winner of the large schools section was Tavistock, with Whitchurch coming second and St Andrew's third. In the small schools category, Meavy came first, Lamerton second, and Mary Tavy/Brentor third.
The event was a great success due to the excellent work from the Tavistock Swimming Club volunteers.
