Duchy KO cup first round Queen?s Rangers 1 Lamerton 5 THIS division 2 fixture last season saw Lamerton break a league record: down to ten men after only two minutes. This time they did not even manage to start with ten ? half the team not having showed up on time. The game started with eleven versus seven! To the seven men?s credit, and Queen?s shame, it was only 1-0 after 20 minutes. Queen?s opted for the long ball - the wrong tactic. Bizarrely from then, Lamerton players crept on one by one. Once at the full eleven they took control, equalising before half-time. A nice move saw full back Panda Williams and James Healy link with Swift and he fed Steve Wickett, who finished well inside the box. Lamerton settled in the second half and scored four more through Dave Byworth, Steve Roast, after good work from Steve Gibbings, an own goal and Kev Swift, a 20-yard strike with his wrong foot, going in off the post. Lamerton had lapses of concentration in outfield and Queen?s could have had two goals of their own, but Pete Daniel was alert in goal and made some important saves.
