WE would like to record our thanks to all those who came and supported Operation Sunshine at our celebration cream tea on Saturday June 24, at the home of John and Barbara Dawe at Chillaton. Nearly £1,700 was raised.
Some 200 supporters and helpers celebrated the contribution of Felicity Derry-Thomas to the growth of the charity over the last 31 years, 12 of which had been as leader.
During that time, Operation Sunshine has grown from a tiny operation working from garages and sheds to an organisation which now sends up to six 40ft containers to Africa each year.
