BLESSED with excellent weather, Tavistock Golf Club recently held its first Pro Am tournament since 1990. The event attracted a field of 33 professional golfers from throughout Devon competing with teams of three amateurs. The event saw excellent scoring with the Pro Am team prize won by Ian Marshall, Robbie James, Jonathan Jones and Jon Cornish with a score of 118. Robin Goodey won the individual professional prize with a superb score of 64 that broke the professional course record. Club captain, Graham Dennis, said he hoped the event would be repeated next year and thanked everyone for their support and the valued sponsorship of the Yorkshire Building Society.
