AFTER a break of three weeks for bad weather and its own open event, Okehampton Cycle Club recommenced its Summer time trial series last Wednesday on the old A30 road from Bridestowe to Lewdown and back. It was a good warm evening and 12 cyclists turned up to put their fitness to the test against the clock. Steve Podd took up where he left off, posting the fastest time of the night with 26.50, with Peter Branfield (Tavistock Wheelers) second, clocking 28.22 and Jacky Rice third on 28.59.
