BOTH teams started well, with good passing between Tavistock?s Kate Eadie and Sarah Guy using all the pitch on the right wing.
Following good tackles Tavistock were awarded a short corner. Robynne Honey struck the ball to Jill Court on the top of the D and Jill Court took a direct strike.
Marjons came back strongly but the defence of Amy Petts, Nell Trotter and Joanne Solman kept the ball under control.
Marjons took a 16-yard hit and it went straight through Tavistock?s midfield to a loose player.
The defence battled hard to keep the ball out but it trickled over the line.
Marjons then had a good ball down the left wing. Zoë Viggers and Olivia Eadie and Joanne Solman battled hard but Marjons managed to get the cross in to the D and score.
They were passing the ball around well and managed to gain a short corner.
Nell Trotter was quick out to the ball but Marjons slipped it right. Kepper Roz Watts saved it but it was cleared off the line.
Tavistock worked hard and marked players tighter.
The team had more control of the ball and passed it around in midfield. Olivia Eadie and Honey worked well in making space up the left wing but Marjons were good at getting the ball to their players.
They advanced down the pitch towards the Tavistock goal and Amy Petts and Joanne Solman made it difficult for them to get the ball in to the D but they sneaked it past the keeper.
