THREE students from Callington Community College have been successful in securing places on a Space Education Adventures trip to Johnson and Kennedy Centres in Houston, Texas and Florida.
The students underwent a year-long selection process to earn their place which involved fund raising, presentations and interviews as well as physical and intelligence tests. Rachael Collard, Jordan White and Rosie Poad were chosen.
It is the 12th year that Mike Grocott, director of Callington Space Centre, has coordinated the process.
Whilst on the trip the students will meet with and work alongside engineers, scientists and astronauts who are developing the Orion Space Module which will carry astronauts beyond the Moon later this decade.
