OKEHAMPTON College students recently completed their training for this year's annual Ten Tors event.

Students completed in excess of the required distances of 35 and 45 miles and according to their team managers Mr Blowey and Mr Wilson, all of them were worthy of a final place in both teams.

It was, as always, a difficult decision who should make up the final teams' and unfortunately there were several disappointed youngsters.

This year's event, the 50th anniversary is the last year Mr Wilson and Mr Blowey will be managing the teams. They will not be hanging up their boots though, but concentrating their efforts on continuing to lead the Duke of Edinburgh at the college.
