A WEST Devon support group is pleased to be growing in numbers, and is encouraging people to join.

Tavistock Stroke Club, held at the Anchorage Centre, is going from strength to strength, providing support for people in the area who have either had a stroke or care for someone who has had one.

The group meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month.

Christine Farrance, who co-ordinates the group, said: 'This group has grown over the years and provides much needed support for carers and clients alike, giving them a place to come. Each month we have activities and speakers covering a wide range of topics.'
