POLICE in Tavistock are appealing for information following a particularly harsh theft last week.
A disability trike was taken from the rear car park outside Godolphin House last weekend, September 6 to 8.
Sgt Dave Anning said: 'It almost certainly would have required a car or van to remove it and as it was chained up at the time, someone went to some trouble to do this.
'What makes it especially nasty is that the trike was then tipped over a garden wall in Chapel Street, down a 20 foot drop.'
Sgt Anning said police thoought someone must have seen at least part of this theft happening.
Anyone who has any information at all should contact PC Cathy Veale at Tavistock Police Station, quoting crime ref JT/13/1214.
