Ordulph Arms 5 YMCA 1

ORDULPH Arms made it five wins from five in the league with a hard fought victory against the YMCA.  Substitute Daniel Behennah was the star of the game with a 10 minute hat-trick.

The first half was a fairly uneventful event, although the Ordulph did create a few chances, Paul Gliddon was unlucky with a close range header after good work from Ben Stephens. Stephens himself missed from close range after a wonderful pass from James Coole.

Although the visitors created few chances they made life difficult for the hosts by battling for every ball. Soon after the start of the second half David Downham, having just missed from close range made up for his miss by opening the scoring for Ordulph after the YMCA keeper misjudged the ball and Downham was left with a simple tap in.

Then James Coole was unlucky striking the post after a glorious run. The game changed with the introduction of Behennah, who scored with his first touch after being put through by a defence splitting pass from Rob Maloney. Behennah soon got his second from a Phillpotts pass for Behennah to calmly placed the ball past the keeper.

YMCA pulled one back after a defensive mistake from Ordulph but Behennah immediately replied after pouncing to finish off a Stephens chip which had hit the bar.

Ordulph's fifth came after a superb driving run from Paul Hoskin. He played the ball to Phillpotts, who slipped Stephens in on goal and this time Stephens buried his shot past the keeper.
