television presenter Steve Wilson has begun his new role as a 'roving reporter' on Lorraine Kelly's new television show.

Steve, who is from Tavistock, has been sent to different parts of the country to meet people and give an insight into the area for the daily lifestyle show on Sky One. Destinations so far have included Brighton and Hoxton in London.

Steve also has a studio slot on the show, previewing some of the more unusual forthcoming weekend events.

His father, Dr Graham Wilson, said Steve is currently very busy but is relishing his new role:

'He is really enjoying it, he thinks Lorraine Kelly is very professional and a very nice person to work with.'

Steve, 26, who grew up at Horsebridge, has previously presented Saturday morning children's show Live and Kicking, sports shows on Radio 5 Live and Party in the Park coverage with Ant and Dec and Cat Deeley.

Steve is fitting his slots for the Lorraine show around other television projects. He is currently filming for an ITV programme called 'It's a Mystery', visiting places where strange unexplained events have taken place. The programme will be shown early next year.

Steve has also been working for digital television and has been in the recording studio with his reformed band writing and recording music.

The Lorraine Kelly programme also features former Big Brother contestant Helen Adams.

'Lorraine' is broadcast live on Sky One, between 10am and noon, Monday to Friday.
