PRINCETOWN Pre-school is going from strength to strength and has now begun to extend its opening hours into the afternoons.
Driving this change is new manager Steph Brittan, who comes in with a strong background in teaching.
Steph lives locally and has worked in the past with Princetown Primary School, so has a great knowledge of the village's people and places.
Steph said: 'We're opening on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons to begin with and the take-up has been fantastic.
'We are hoping to extend to every afternoon after Easter.'
Steph, who enjoys her horses and dogs, is thrilled to be at the pre-school. She said: 'We are looking forward to our trip with the primary school to Plymouth Aquarium, as part of our term topic on 'Coasts' – the children are hoping to meet a mermaid!'
A maternity cover vacancy is also available at the pre- school, as are a small number of child places — call 01822 890348 for more information.
