BRIDESTOWE Garden Club held its fourth annual garden show on Thursday September 6 in the Methodist Church, Bridestowe. Although entries were slighly down on last year, due to the weather, the turnout was good and the standard excellent. The judges Brian Wonnacott and Pat Andrews were very impressed with the standard of exhibits. They praised all the entrants for their hard work and effort to produce an excellent show. They were especially impressed with the children?s entries, which were up on last year. The committee were pleased to encourage the young ones into appreciating the garden. The show committee was also pleased with the entries from a membership of only 36 members. During the judging Dave Arney from Brandis Corner kept everyone occupied with a highly amusing and entertaining quiz. Group B were declared the winners by a single point.
