PUPILS from St Peter's School, Tavistock enjoyed taking part in the annual area Primary School cross country tournament
With 14 schools competing and 28 teams in total St Peter's played host to the first round, took part in a 'wet and boggy' race at Lamerton School before the final event at Princetown School. The St Peter's boys and girls, trained by coach Allan Herdman, were all placed highly and most ended up in the top 30.
The girls' team were Caitlin Chapman, Marnie Hoare, Francesca Herdman, Lauren Abel, Imogen Hollet and Hannah Bailey, finished a commendable third out of 14 schools.
The boys' team of William Gardner, Ryan Brown, Richard Montague, Harry Cole, Tate Budge, Harry Herdman and Joe O'Loughlin, did superbly to come home first. Joe O'Loughlin earned a medal as first individual home while Harry Cole came second.
